Great talking to you on the phone, Mom! Sorry about the connection (my phone battery was low). And now, this exciting surprise! Braise's hat has so much character (and there is just a hint, if I may say, of sombraro (sp?) ... the littlest hint (am I making it up?) that lends charm from the site where the painting is being created (PV, Mexico!).

Definitely keep the blue couch! The cranberry would be too much, what with the charming floor tiles that you have painted. Bravo all around and keep sharing with us your daily work.

Love,
Kristi

Hi Jules,
Back again as I couldn't resist seeing how your painting was progressing...this is great fun seeing a painting come to life! You have me flicking back and forth to the photo as well now! Braise's smile looks great now and the colour couch you have ( probably more "mulberry" now) I think is perfect...don't cool blue colours recede and warm colours come forward...just as you have it! Have fun with the pallete knife! Be back later...exciting and thank you for sharing! Gretel
PS I did notice and had a giggle about Braises's cardboard nametag!

Have just realised the two colours in the top photo...keep the blue!

Love the painting, Jules! You've captured their rasca-ly spirits quite well!
