It looks as though the last two hours I spent in Picassa trying to crop this photo didn't work. Oh to have the old days when my assistant corrected all of my mistakes. So here I sit, all alone, with nothing to protect me from the world...following in the footsteps of my muse. I am finally sitting in the zone thanks to Kristi's wonderful photography - this painting will be fun.
I love your use of colour! Those marvelous blues and purples! (I wish I hadn't sent you the pictures of my daub. I haven't touched it since.) I have been doing construction instead, framing in closets and making my shed into a screen porch.

Colors are great, Jules! Don't you love Kristi's photo today of the sunflower and tomatoes?! Paint that!

Looks wonderful! Love the soft yellow against the purply-blue and love the diagonal paintbrush marks...seems to be forming a triangle with the butterfly and the flower! Good luck with your "little" brushes :)

Jules,
How long are you going to stay in the art supply?
Missing you and your updates:)
Love,
Debbie

Mom,
I echo Debbie's question: are you back from the art supply store yet??? I'd love to see an update of your painting!
Just read your note about the TV channels. The story was classic. Why don't you share it with us here? :-)
Lots of love,
Kristi
P.S.: the grapes are so ripe they're falling off the branches! The kids, Jacques, and Jean-Marc are running through the vine-rows, buckets in hand. (I'm cooking dinner... Can you tell I feel guilty for staying behind?)
